Please help! Which identities will help simplify sec^2x-1/cot^2x+1

sec²x-1 = tan²x
cot²x+1 = csc²x
We get this from the Pythagorean identities.

so you have
[tex] \frac{tan^{2}x }{csc ^{2}x } [/tex]
