What do fats oil and waxes interact with water

I'm very confused on what is being asked. Here's my best attempt at answering anyway: Water is polar. Fats, oil, and waxes are nonpolar. They all separate in water and refuse to mix.  Fats, oil, and waxes are hydrophobic.

They will absorb the water, because it’s waxy
