The discovery and deciphering of the Rosetta Stone helped modern scholar understand ancient Egypt. The Rosetta Stone consists of symbols which the Egyptians used as a form of language, once deciphered it allowed scholars to tell the stories that the Egyptians had illustrated in the pyramids.
