Venus is about 10^8 kilometers from the Sun. Saturn is about 10^9 kilometers from the Sun. About how many times farther from the Sun is Saturn than Venus?

Alright, since we need to figure out how many times the distance from Venus is compared to the distance from Saturn, we use division and put the distance from Saturn at the top, getting 10^9/10^8. While dividing exponents, you can simply subtract them, so 9-8=1 and we end up with 10^1=10
