I'm assuming the diagonal is 53 feet...

Use Pythagorean Theorem

[tex]A = \sqrt{ C^{2} - B^{2} } A = \sqrt{53^{2} - 45^{2} } A = \sqrt{2809 - 2025} A = \sqrt{784} A = 28 [/tex]

Therefore the width is 28 feet
