multiply 2nd equtaon by -1 and add to first

3x+5y=9
-3x-2y=-3 +
0x+3y=6

3y=6
divide by 3
y=2

sub back

3x+2y=3
3x+2(2)=3
3x+4=3
minus 4 both sides
3x=-1
divide by 3
x=-1/3
