Answer:

k(a + b) = ka + kb

2(3r + 7) - (2+ r)

= 2*3r + 2*7 - (2 + r)

= 6r + 14 - (2 + r)

= 6r + 14 - 2 - r

= 6r - r + 14 - 2

= 5r + 12
