How do I simplify 3^(t-2)?

remember
[tex] \frac{x^m}{x^n}=x^{m-n} [/tex]
so
[tex] x^{m-n}= \frac{x^m}{x^n} [/tex]
therfor
[tex] 3x^{t-2}= \frac{3^t}{3^2}= \frac{3^t}{9} [/tex]
