Expressions and equations inside of parenthesis mean that you solve that first.
ex. 2 x ( 6 + 24 ) - 12
The steps would be to use the order of operations meaning PEMDAS.
P-parenthesis E-exponents, M-multiply, D- division, A-addition, S-subtraction.
start with the parenthesis and do 6 + 24 first. Then do the rest.
