Answer: 9 muffins sold. 15 pizza pies sold.

Explanation: a bakery sells 3 muffins for every 5 pizza pies.

If muffins=

Pizza pies=5x

The bakery sold a total of 24 muffins and pizza pies together.

3x + 5x = 24

8x = 24

Dividing both sides by 8, we get..

X=3

Muffins = 3 x 3 = 9

Pizza pies = 5 x 3 = 15.

Hope this helps! :D
