What are the differences between farming native Americans and ones that resisted to farm?

This question can have multiple answers. One major difference is that Native Americans that chose to farm were able to settle down and create cities and civilizations as they domesticated plants and animals.
Native Americans that resisted farming were nomadic and had to constantly move following migration patterns of animals (their food).
